I used Hotels.com but did it for 10/11/08 and it appeared to still qualify. However the description of the room on hotels.com pretty much matches the exact description on the wyndham site, but there was one small difference.
Wyndam:
2 double bed EFFICIENCY junior suite
Hotels.com:
2 double bed junior suite

They denied my claim because of that. I then called the hotel directly and they said it's the same thing, they don't offer an efficiency and non efficiency suite. So I relayed that info to the rep from wyndham and I'm waiting to hear back....

Good luck, sounds like you have a case.

One thing you should know though, is that this hotel is anything but special - the staff are rude, all amenities cost extra (except access to the freezing cold pool) and they charge an excessive $35 per night of taxes and fees, including parking.

They replied not mentioning anything about the "efficiency" thing, but rather said that the rate was the same, luckily I took screen shots and I emailed those back to her last night, but still have not heard back today.

Beside this hotel having rude staff and expensive amenities, is the hotel atleast clean or decently nice?

It's clean enough - there is no carpet in the rooms so that helps. The corridors definitely could be in better shape, and there is some paint peeling. The rooms smell of oranges, I'm not sure why.

I still haven't heard back from the representative I've been corresponding with over email. Should I try to file a new claim or take some other form of action now or should I continue to wait to hear from her? I emailed the screen shots last night to her.

They may simply not be working today. Expedite their response by calling them at 1-800-544-9881, ask for the "Best Rates" department, and then ask for the agent who dealt with your claim.
