A BRG Blog Exclusive: How to get paid $50 for visiting a Nevada Casino

After our Friday post about the $5 per night rate at Buffalo Bill's, I stumbled upon an excellent side promotion (and coupon) that can get you a 5 night stay for just $7.11 (total) plus net you a $50 Mastercard debit card to spend on whatever you wish.

I played around with dates, first aiming for a 10 night stay @ $5 per night, then applying the code NFL50 (valid through February 28th) to the order, hoping to pay $0 plus taxes for the entire stay. No such luck - Fridays and Saturdays are $30 - $40 per night. So, I ended up keying in a Monday - Saturday stay, for 5 nights. Here's what it generated using the NFL50 coupon.

What's this about $50? My ears are perked...

The booking INCLUDES A $50 debit card, making the hotel free of charge with enough left over for a future trip. Those in the Las Vegas area and a lot of time on their hands could easily profit from this promotion if you make a booking for each family member, and check in multiple times (totally legal, you're buying the rooms after all).

The terms, other than not being valid for Marriott hotels, state:

"HURRY LIMITED TIME OFFER! Book a 4-night stay at this hotel and get a $50 Prepaid MasterCard® debit card from Expedia®. Book by March 1, 2009 and travel by March 30, 2009. Allow 3 to 6 weeks after travel completion for your card to arrive."

Sounds pretty certain to me.

Also, if CitiBank ThankYou Points are more your deal, you can use the coupon code TY5K09 for 5,000 bonus points with a minimum 2 Night Stay. 4,500 points can be redeemed for a $30 gift card.

So, if you follow the 4 night minimum, only on weekdays, you'll pay just $20 for your room at Buffalo Bill's for the 4 nights, you'll recieve a $50 Mastercard debit card AND you'll recieve enough ThankYou Points for a $30 gift card, and then some. That's roughly $60 profit on a 4 night stay!

If that isn't budget travel, I'm not sure what is!

Buffalo Bill's Casino (Primm, Nevada) Just $5.00/night!

There is definitely a need to fill hotels these days, and the result of that need is insane pricing.

Take the casino town of Primm, on the California/Nevada border - along I-15, but still pretty much in the middle of nowhere. They obviously need to fill rooms. Buffalo Bill's Casino, a decent midrange property, is calling for guests with rates as low as $5.00 per night on Weekdays for the next few months!

This is the perfect time for you Los Angeles readers to head north to Vegas (which is just 30 minutes from this property), and stay in Primm along the way. At prices like these, you can't go wrong.

Priority Club Pointbreaks List now Updated!

For those of you who follow the Priority Club Pointbreaks list, it has finally been updated with brand new properties that are available for a mere 5,000 points per night. For those who don't know, Priority Club is the rewards program of the IC Hotels Group, which includes brands such as the Intercontinental, the Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites, Hotel Indigo, and Crowne Plaza. Many of these properties can exceed the $200/night mark, and most always you'll find them over $100 at the very least.


The Pointbreaks opportunities often yield some incredible values (when you're not lucky enough to find a BRG in the city you need, that is!). Here's a Travelodge located right on the Las Vegas Strip which is available for an easy claim for New Year's Eve as well as other nights. Having stayed here a few years ago, I can say that the property is clean and comfortable despite being an older hotel. Pocatello, Idaho - Super 8 Pocatello

This hotel is located along Interstate 15 in southeastern Idaho, within 2 hours of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jackson, WY, and Yellowstone National Park. This is a great place to break up the drive between Alberta or Montana and Las Vegas (I've stayed in Pocatello plenty of times for this very reason - it's almost exactly halfway!). The hotel is located at the junction of I-15 and I-86, the crossroads of Idaho, near Idaho State University and the Fairgrounds. Anaheim, California - Ramada Limited Suites Anaheim Convention Center

This Ramada (one of many in the Disneyland area) is one block from the Anaheim Convention Center and only a 3 minute drive from Disneyland Park. This BRG had a confirmed approval last week! Having stayed here before on a free stay, I can tell you that the hotel is really quite nice. Never was I charged any form of tax, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The rooms have brand new beds and flat screen televisions.

Here's "the other Spokane BRG" that has never died out, and been available most every day for the past few years. I've spoken to the owners here, and they claim that they "don't care" if they give away free hotel rooms - they make more money on the lower rates on Expedia than they would by following the Guaranteed Best Available Rate! So don't expect it to go away anytime soon! This Downtown Spokane Howard Johnson, an award-winning property, is centrally located to everything the city has to offer, and is easily accessed by Interstate 90.
