Our reader made this claim, apparently with success, using the Hampton Inn website and Booking.com as the lower rate competitors. It took him about 30 minutes on the phone. Most likely any travel site (especially the US-based ones) listing this property would work.

At first glance, rates on both websites appear to be the same. However, Expedia charges a $10 fee for the second guest in the room (see final booking page on Expedia.com). Orbitz.com and various competitor sites do not have this extra person fee. So this would actually make the 2-person rate $10 higher on Expedia when booking is completed ... sounds like a valid claim to me!
