Don't confuse this property with the other Motel 6 in town, Motel 6 LakeVIEW, the name is similar but the reviews on Tripadvisor are much better for this property! This Motel 6 is located at the California border with Arizona, right on the Colorado River.

How Priority Club's new BRG differs from Wyndham Reward's (former Guarantee)

One thing I've noticed (that I'm not too happy about) in regards to the brand new Priority Club Best Price Guarantee, is found right within the terms and conditions.

"The price difference between IHG’s website and a competing website, when comparing the same currencies, must be at least $1 per night in order to qualify for the Guarantee."

Remember the 25 cent rate difference requirement back in the day when we were searching for Wyndham BRGs? Well, that was never a big deal with me ... though this time it's a whopping one dollar! I've already spotted several solid BRG opportunities with 2-5 cent price differences, but I guess I'll have to start all over again!

Other items in the T&C's to note include:

• The Guarantee applies to room rate and extra person fees only. Other fees or charges do not apply.

• Booking must be made via the “Best Available Rate” search on any of the IHG web sites.

• No Priority Club points will be awarded for a free night.

• Limit one free night per name on reservation, per stay and per hotel for any thirty day period.

• You must file your claim within 24 hours of booking.

I'm just now getting around to researching the facts on this BRG. While the rate difference thing bugs me somewhat, everything else looks pretty good. I do also like the convenience of choosing to call in or simply filing using an online claim form.

Here's how we must compare rates:

Expedia.com = "apples-to-apples" comparison (REF/REF or NR/NR)

With the IHG Best Price Guarantee, you MUST book IHG's LOWEST "Best Available Rate" (usually the non-refundable "Advance Purchase" rate, but not always) versus the competitor's equivalent OR refundable rate.

This BRG was attempted by reader Dorothy, and her Expedia agent approved it! Perhaps you too would want to test it out. It may even work as a Travelocity BRG.

This 4-story hotel is within 3 miles of the Mall of the Americas, 10 miles from the Port of Miami, and 13 miles from the shops and nightclubs of South Beach.
