Washington, DC - Howard Johnson Express Inn

Let's be perfectly honest - Howard Johnson's are bad enough (on the average) already, so I'd hate to see what a Howard Johnson Express is like. This particular property seems like a BRG nightmare waiting to happen, and warning alarms are going off in my brain, so be careful, and do let us know how it turns out for you. Given the experiences some people had while paying for their rooms, it's a scary thought to hear what would happen to those not paying. This one has been easily visible by searching Kayak for the past few weeks at the least - they don't seem interested in correcting their rate difference. Let's just hope they'll be interested in honoring a free night stay.

This is another one located in the greater Washington-Baltimore metro area, in the suburb of Silver Spring. It's around ten miles from here into downtown Washington, and around thirty miles to Baltimore. The metro line into downtown Washington is only five blocks away. This one has poor reviews on the BRG Room Reviews blog, given a rating of 4 out of 10 by reader Jeff. This BRG can be easily spotted by searching Kayak.

I found this one while desperately looking for somewhere decent to stay on an upcoming trip to the northeast USA. This excellent Wyndham property set on 20 acres is located at the crossroads of I-295 and I-95, just 10 miles north of downtown Richmond, Virginia in the suburb of Glen Allen. This one is easily visible by searching Kayak for "Richmond" hotels. Despite some mixed reviews on Tripadvisor, this is by far one of the most beautiful hotels in the entire Wyndham chain.

Update: FreeRoomGuy tells me that I missed the Priceline availability on this one, which gives you around an extra month of dates to choose from apart from those Reservetravel was prodiving. Just a heads up for anyone who needed this for October, but thought all hope was lost due to Reservetravel's limited availability.

This BRG was originally contributed by reader Fish, who just completed a stay here and tells me that it's a comfortable enough option to spend the night while in the Lansing area. Easily visible by searching Kayak.

This "All-Suites" Ramada in Anaheim is a 3 minute drive to Disneyland Park and 1 block from Anaheim Convention Center. It is walkable to Disneyland, but understand it's a rather long walk. I've stayed here multiple times and enjoyed it a lot. This BRG is found for many dates next June, July, and early August and is easily visible by searching Kayak. ... The BRG dies out around mid-August.
