After many months of procrastination, we've updated the Newcomers' guide on the sidebar to reflect the current state of how BRGs are processed. All the info should match up with the current Wyndham terms and conditions now, so you shouldn't find anything misleading or outdated any longer. If you do find something I missed,
be sure to email us and let us know.
Be sure to check out the
Frequently Asked Questions page. It will answer almost everything you've ever wanted to know about this program, its fine print, and every other angle that you can think of regarding it. If I've missed something, please comment on the post and we'll add that question to the FAQ. We welcome any and all questions via email, but please check if we've already answered your question on the FAQ page before doing so. Thanks!
Also updated is our lesson on
how to search Kayak to find BRGs. We consider
Kayak to be the best source for locating BRGs in a hurry, as it compares rates across hundreds of different websites, then lays them out for you, side by side. Knowing how to use this program, and its valuable shortcuts (like narrowing down to Wyndham properties) is essential to be able to find BRGs in cities that we might not be looking for that week.
HotelsCombined is another source, similar to Kayak, but it does not search Wyndham hotels - you must use Kayak and HotelsCombined in conjunction with one another.
Like Kayak, HotelsCombined now narrows down search results to Wyndham-only, which is a new feature and a huge improvement. For those who shrugged off HotelsCombined when we featured it a month ago, consider giving it another shot; it has most definitely gotten better (though is still far from perfect). It's main limitations are that it does not display Wyndham's prices, nor does it search metro areas (only cities proper), but at least now you don't have to sift through mountains of non-Wyndham hotels to find what you are looking for!
Remember, by searching
Kayak and
HotelsCombined through our links to those sites, you help support our blog at no cost to yourself, helping us to stay online to bring you free room opportunities day in and day out - thanks for your support. We couldn't do this without you.
