This is a one of our more "stand-out" BRGs on many levels. First, it appears to work mostly as a Travelocity BRG during much of October and then flip-flops into an Expedia BRG during much of November! Beyond that, I haven't a clue! After reading all the Tripadvisor reviews with titles such as: "Rat Hole", "Flea Bag", and "Bug Infested", I sort of lost interest in researching this place any further. When I checked out this motel's website, it advertises that you will be greeted by your hosts Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera! Yeah, sure ... try Norman Bates. In any case, it sounds like a true adventure for anyone willing to give it a go.

This is a one-story motel in the northwestern corner of Massachusetts, near the border with Vermont. It's 18 miles from Jiminy Peak and 2 miles from Williams College. The guestrooms offer just the very basics: TV with cable, telephones, and views of the surrounding mountains.

United Airlines Now Offers Hotel and Car Redemptions

United Airlines has announced that all Mileage Plus members may now redeem their miles for hotel and car reservations, worldwide.

As you might expect, the redemption value isn't exactly stellar. We found hotel rooms with rack rates of $50 or so for 10,000 miles, and rates of $130 for 17,000 miles. We don't recommend this type of redemption, unless you really don't want your Mileage Plus miles and need a use for them besides airline tickets, upgrades, magazine subscriptions, and Restaurant.com gift certificates.

Fall PC Pointbreaks List Released

Sometime yesterday (when I was in dreamland here in Kazakhstan), Priority Club released the fall Pointbreaks list. While having a bit of variety, the new list has nothing that really stands out or amazes.

The international opportunities are mainly centered around eastern China and big-city Europe. The Central/South America, Africa, and Oceania lists are particularly threadbare. Mexico didn't even make this list this time, and Canada's opportunities are mostly laughable.

The one good thing about the new list is that a good majority of the US States are represented, including rarities like Montana, Idaho, and Rhode Island.

Holiday Inns and Expresses are the key players here, but there are a good number of high-end Crowne Plaza locations and a couple of Hotel Indigo locations listed. These are definitely worth more than the $30 value that these 5000 PC points are worth.
