Public Chicago Hotel, formerly the Ambassador East, is offering it's prospective guests a chance to score a $1 guestroom via their website with their "FIRST-EVER" room sale. The sale will launch on a secret date and you'll have 48 hours to book a $1 room over a 90-day period, meaning you can book a room a few days out up to 3 months. Again, they give no indication (right now) on when this offer becomes available or how difficult your chances of snagging one will actually be. I'd say, it's worth a shot anyway.
